As part of its commitment to workplace safety and industrial risk prevention, SAN RUBBER organized the 2025 edition of its Internal Operational Plan (POI) at its Touadji 1 site. This safety-focused exercise, involving fire simulation and workplace emergency response actions, was successfully conducted with the participation of all staff members as well as several safety stakeholders.
The main objective of this initiative was to test the effectiveness of the company’s internal prevention and emergency response systems in the event of an incident, particularly a simulated fire outbreak within the production facilities. The exercise enabled security teams, production staff, and site managers to respond in a realistic scenario.
During the simulation, participants followed a structured scenario including:
-
Activation of a fire alarm;
-
Securing personnel and orderly evacuation of the premises;
-
Intervention of internal firefighting teams equipped with first-response emergency tools;
-
Coordination with external emergency services when necessary.
This operation also provided an opportunity to raise awareness among all employees about the correct reflexes in emergency situations, to check the proper functioning of safety equipment (fire extinguishers, alarms, emergency exits), and to strengthen the company’s culture of risk prevention.
Mr. OUATTARA BOLIGUIBIA, HSE Manager at SAN RUBBER, stated that “workplace safety is not an option but a permanent priority. The 2025 POI demonstrates our commitment to protecting our employees, our facilities, and the environment, in line with our quality and safety commitments.”
This 2025 POI edition at Touadji 1 is part of SAN RUBBER’s overall approach to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, as well as its corporate social and environmental responsibility policy.
